KL Trip.. 12th to 14th May 2006
Phew... just returned after a tiring trip to KL.. wow.. it's been a long journey from there back here.. its also been a fruitful trip for me.. these 3 days was also a great weekend spent over there.
Day 1:
I woke up at 5am in e morning and got ready all my stuffs, packed some last minute stuffs into my bag and set off for the Tuas checkpoint, when we arrived there, it was already around 8am, and it was super packed already.. *wonders wad's the traffic condition over at Woodlands.. sure more jia lat* haha.. ok, nevertheless, we waited for around an hour or so to clear the immigration... then we proceeded to our destination.. i slept in e car for around 2hrs before we reached some place for breakfast.. then continued all the way to KL.. and it took a whole 3hrs to reach there.. wow!!
We checked in to this hotel; Hotel Radius International.. lemme tell u more abt this hotel.. it is definately not the sort of 4/5 star hotel.. it doesnt seem to be as well.. but the fantastic part of this hotel is the facilities... which hotel gives u free internet service everyday? which hotel gives u free alcoholic drinks anytime of the day? for what i've known.. none.. haha.. and this hotel does provide all these.. Immediately, i went to get a Bacardi Sprite.. haha.. then we checked in to the room and damn, it was small but not bad la. *sleep-able* enuff can already.. ok, so we rested for around an hour then set off to Sungei Wang, a shopping centre where ppl can get lost anytime.. haha.. ok.. my motive of going there was to have lunch and to shop.. of cos duh.!! and i need to look for a new pair of specs as i was told to do so by the optician the other day. There i went into shops after shops.. and all the specs were so freakin expensive. then we came into one. GREAT SALE.. i looked for one that suits me. RM168.. i thought it was reasonable, but still a lil bit expensive, so we continued walking. Finally one shop shows " 2 prices, RM 138, Rm 148" ok quite cheap but it wasnt the price that attracts me.. the time was.. 1 hour only to make the specs. wonderful.. immediately i went in and got one specs after long periods of choosing one.. it was a black+white plastic frame. not bad, since i have not got one with plastic frame for a long time.. so no harm rite? hahas.
ok. so we continued to walk around the shopping centre and finally after an hour, my specs were ready.. so i was kinda excited to get my specs, i dont know why also. haha. so after that, we proceeded to Chinatown. Thats the place we always will go when we are in KL.. thats e place to really bargain for stuffs.. haha.. and i got myself a gucci wallet, a watch, and a adidas bag.
then we proceeded back to the hotel. as i said, great facilities rite? haha. so there's free snacks and tim sum as a "welcome meal".. haha. and i took another alcoholic drink and other beverages.. and then went up to e room to watch TV.. all they showed was tennis, F1, tennis, F1.. no football.. ArGh.. but i knew i had to save football for the next day..
Day 2:
I woke up at around 7am.. went down to e swimming pool for a morning swim, the air was really refreshing and the water was cool.. so while i swam, my dad jogged around the swimming pool.. then after that we went to have breakfast downstairs... later we went upstairs to pack our stuff for the day.. and we head out for Genting Highlands.. it took around an hour plus to reach there and its real cooling there.. we took lotsa pictures when we arrived there (will be uploaded in my friendster soon). Then we went to the Theme Park and Arcade to play while my dad went to e casino.... then we went up to the ice-skating area and it was super cold over there(DUH!!!).. and we left there after our dinner at the ever famous MACDONALDS.. hahas... Then we went to Chinatown again to look for more stuffs, i actually wanted to get a pair of Converse high cut shoes, but just couldnt find my size.. dammit.. so i just settled for a pair of sandals from JukeBox.. and it was around 9pm already.. and it was football time, so i rushed back to the hotel's lounge to watch the match.. when i reached there at ariund 925pm, it was already filled with people although the match is scheduled to start at 10pm.. so i guess they're all football fanatics like me.. Liverpool Vs West Ham for the Fa Cup finals... My team Liverpool went 2-0 down after 30mins, but got one back before halftime to make it 2-1.. Then came the Stevie G show.. he scored a fantastic goal to make it 2-2.. then a stupid tyco goal by Konchesky made it 3-2.. i was so down after that tyco cross went in.. haiz... 90 mins gone... AND GERRARD SCORES AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!.. this was a world class strike.. haha.. so it was 3-3 at e end.. and i can tell all e Liverpool fans were very very relieved... and extratime passed.. finally it was penalty shoot-out time.. and all the good Liverpudians were all subbed-out already.. so it was left to unusual players to take the kicks.... and Reina was the hero for Liverpool after saving 3 penalties to clinch the cup for Liverpool.. They won 3-1 on penalties and it was full entertainment for the past 2 hrs or so.. I was so happy that i couldnt sleep and watched till e celebrations ended at around 1.30am.. then went back to my room to sleep...Day 3:I admit i was super tired after watching the match the nite before that i was so lazy to go for a swim in e morn.. haha.. so i woke up at 830am, just nice to go for breakfast.. so we packed up our luggages and head down for breakfast. after that, we went up to bathe and watched tv till 12noon and checked out of e hotel.. and of cos before that, i had to go for my last free alcoholic drink of my stay. and it had to be a good one.. so i ordered Vodka Absolute- blue.. and it was pretty nice.. hahas... so we were out of the hotel after that and headed to the direction of Singapura.. what a wonderful 3 days of activities and break.. i really need this break after working everyday for a month.. and now, i'm back in work again... alrite, till when i write again. take care everyone...
